Spring Notice – 2025

Spring Notice – 2025

Dear Brandon Oaks Homeowners,

We hope you are all doing well and are ready for the Spring season! As we continue striving to ensure that your community looks its best, here are a few exterior maintenance reminders for Spring:

  • Repair bare/dead spots in lawns and remove weeds growing in lawns through proper lawn care
  • Treat lawn with pre-emergent, weed control and fertilizer to promote healthy growth. Consult your landscaper, if necessary, for proper treatment of your lawn.
  • Refresh flower beds, tree wells/rings and shrub beds with ground cover (e.g. pine needles/mulch)
  • All grass must be mowed and maintained, edging along street, driveway and sidewalks.
  • All grass clippings/landscape debris and leaves should be cleared from sidewalks, streets, and curbs.
  • Remove weeds from tree wells/rings, flowerbeds and shrub beds.
  • Remove vegetation growth in cracks or seams of sidewalks and driveways.
  • Prune overgrown shrubs/trees and remove and dispose of dead trees/shrubs and replace as necessary.
  • Ensure mailbox is not in need of repairs, and paint or replace as needed.
  • Ensure shutters, doors, and trim are in good condition and refresh with paint as needed.
  • Dirt/mildew should be cleaned/pressure washed from home and/or fence as well as all sidewalks, driveways, gutters and other areas.

If you have not already started and/or completed, we encourage you to begin the process of completing any necessary repairs to your home and landscape.

We will begin the Spring community inspections process by 05/01/2025.

We have also included a list of some of our year-round reminders:

  • Trash cans must be stored in your garage or behind an appropriate area screened and concealed from street view.
  • Please take care to pick up and properly dispose of your pet’s waste.
  • Always keep pets on a leash. Please don’t allow your pet to be a nuisance to your neighbors.  If your dog is prone to barking on and off in your yard, you must take the dog inside.
  • No parking on grassy areas or sidewalks.
  • Boats, trailers, and campers are not allowed in driveways or any other part of a lot outside of a 24 hour period to load or unload.
  • All play structures must be placed in the backyard and not visible from the street.
  • Play equipment, bikes, and toys should be moved out of sight when not in use.
  • All modifications or changes to the exterior of your home or lot must have ARC approval before any project begins.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping your community looking its best!

Sincerely,

On behalf of Brandon Oaks Board of Directors
