EXTREME HEAT WAVE

Starting Saturday, July 26, a heat wave is expected to impact the Charlotte region and extend across North and South Carolina, as well as other parts of the country. This heat wave is anticipated to last into the following week.

Temperatures are forecasted to reach the triple digits this weekend, with the heat index potentially exceeding 105 degrees. These conditions can be dangerous for people, pets, and local wildlife.

Mowing the lawn in extreme heat can be detrimental to both the grass and the person doing the mowing. It's advisable to avoid mowing when temperatures exceed 85°F, as this can stress the grass, leading to browning and long-term damage. Additionally, mowing in such heat poses health risks, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke. During the heat wave, we will likely refrain from mowing the grass and instead focus on detail work to minimize crew exposure to the extreme temperatures.

Bland Landscaping is closely monitoring the weather and may implement a reduced maintenance schedule during this extreme heat wave to ensure the safety of our employees. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our Account Manager for more information regarding your property. We will make every effort to visit your property during this time to ensure that irrigation systems are functioning properly, safety issues are addressed, and the community remains free of debris.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding.
